    Unbelievable, truly authentic concours restoration quality reproduction spoiler kit includes the wing blade constructed of an ABS based thermoplastic and is molded in gray (as original). It's not fiberglass. This two-piece wing (as original) derives its rigid stability from the material itself (as original) instead of some secondary internal support such as a metal rod or foam. And it's not light weight, it's the right weight... at over 8 lbs.! All dimensions are correct, i.e., thickness, taper, length, height, crown, and curve. Supplied in black primer, ready to paint.

    A Ford Official Licensed Product authorized by Ford Motor Company with the Ford Oval Logo molded in as your guarantee of authenticity.
    Absolutely every part included:

    • wing to pedestal attachment brackets;
    • pedestals (hollow zinc die cast construction, powder coated black with FoMoCo PN & Logo--also Ford Official Licensed Products);
    • pair beveled gaskets;
    • mounting stud & nut set;
    • and under-deck reinforcement brackets (zinc plated).

    This will correctly mount on any 1967-70 Mercury Cougar model but this assembly was originally used only on the 1970 Cougar Eliminator model. This spoiler will also bolt-up and fit a 1969 Cougar but note it is not a reproduction of the 1969 Eliminator wing which differed in material, weight, and mounting stanchion location. Made in USA.

    Reproduction of original Ford part number D0WY-6544206-A.

    Cons:
    I bought a different spoiler from Mustangs Unlimited and it was crap. Arrived busted and you could tell the poor quality. This spoiler is high quality. The ONLY complaint is that no installation instructions were provided. WCCC provided "some" help but instructions with pictures would have been much better. Note that it is heavy, thus the trunk would not stay open even after I adjusted the torsion bars to the max tension. Have to use a trunk pole to hold it open.

    Question
    Asked:
    How far apart are the mounts? My car used to have a spoiler, but the old owner removed it, I have four holes drilled in my truck already, the two sets are approximately 35 3/4 inches apart...will this spoiler bolt into those holes or will I have to drill more?

    I bought my 69 Cougar in Jul of '09 as a retirement from the Army gift to myself. From day 1 it had intermittent heating problems that I tried to fix. I changed the radiator, thermostat, water pump, and added 2 12 in 1400 cfm electric cooling...
