This is the arm rest base for the driver or passenger side on any 1971, 192 or 1973 Mercury Cougar with standard interior as well as some Mustang trim levels.  Also fits multiple other Ford /  Mercury cars of the same vintage.Replaces Ford Part Number: D1AB-5724144

These plastic backing plates are found on all 71-73 Cougars with standard interior.
