Reproduction Non-Functional hood scoop that was originally used on the 427 GT-E, but will work on any 1967-68 Mercury Cougar and look great! This scoop measures 25 3/8" at its widest point, 26-1/2" at its longest point, and is 2" high. Originally, the recessed scoops in the front were painted black to give the illusion of an open scoop. The original blue prints show the center of the rear stud as being 2 1/8 inches forward of the back edge of the hood. Measuring the distance on original XR7-G and GT-E's most measure about 1 1/2" from the rear edge of the hood to the rear edge of the scoop at center-line.

    Replaces Ford part # C8WY-16C630-C.

Can you please provide the measurements between the mounting studs? I'm considering this to replace an existing hood scoop I have that the suds have pulled out of the fiberglass. I would like the measurements to verify it will match the holes in my hood.
