I mounted this hood scoop on my 67 Cougar to give me clearance for my 427 stroker with a air gap intake . It looks stock and I now have ram air. To get a good alignment on the studs I taped the top of hood and after getting the scoop were I wanted it I marked around each stud to mark for drilling. I used rubber washers before using nylon lock nuts to hold it down. I tightened nuts up just enough not to warp the hood.
correct looking and solid scoop, only minus point is that there is no instruction/measurements for the correct position to place it.

Nice upgrade to my hood. You will need to file it down to fit contour of hood correctly. This is worth the money spent to give your car a sportier look.
Easy to install. With a little work i was able to make it functional. be careful drilling holes some of the threaded rod is not straight. I started out with small drill and stepped up. After paint it looks factory.
The fiberglass scoop fits easily onto the hood. the front piece helps position the scoop for optimum fit.
