    This black wire attaches to the fusible link. The Fusible link connects to the starter solenoid with an eyelet connector, then connects to this wire with a billet connector. This wire then passes through the firewall to mate with the power top switch wiring under the dash.

    Correct for both XR7, Standard convertibles and power sunroof equipped Cougars in 1969, and Standard Cougar Convertibles in 1970.
