Anodized aluminum snap on moulding for the rear edge of the hoods on early 1971 Mercury Cougar XR7 coupe and XR7 convertible models. Same moulding available optionally on 1971 Mustangs too. This is for the person who does not want to modify the off-shore Mustang reproduction wheel lip mouldings we sell but do not have good cores for exchange for our premium set of restored wheel lips. This 1/2" tall unique little screw was used on several different trim parts on the early Mercury Cougars. In 1967 - 1968 there were eight per wheel lip moulding, two per fender extension moulding, two per center grille moulding and five per hood lip moulding for a total of 50 screws. In 1969-1973 they were used on the wheel lips mouldings. The 1971 - 1973 hood lip mouldings used the same screw but it was 5/8" tall.
