Good set of four diecast original top mouldings for both two tone paint Cougar hardtops and 1970 Cougars with a factory installed Hounds-Tooth checkered vinyl top. No broken studs, cracks, bends or chips. Originally these came painted on most cars, but in rare cases like the 1970 Hounds-tooth edition or select two tone paint cars, they came chrome plated. This 1/2" tall unique little screw was used on several different trim parts on the early Mercury Cougars. In 1967 - 1968 there were eight per wheel lip moulding, two per fender extension moulding, two per center grille moulding and five per hood lip moulding for a total of 50 screws. In 1969-1973 they were used on the wheel lips mouldings. The 1971 - 1973 hood lip mouldings used the same screw but it was 5/8" tall.
