This aluminum backed, tar sound deadener with adhesive is approximately 1/16 of an inch thick and works well behind door panels, at the firewall and under the headliner as a sound, heat and vapor barrier. This dealer installed kit was designed to fit many FoMoCo products. These were most commonly mounted on the driver side rear panel. They were taller than the standard antenna so mounting them on the driver side would protect them from low lying branches and other obstructions that more often come in contact with the passenger side of the car. Very rare trim ring used in conjunction with a 15x7" steel wheel and small hub cap on the 1971 Cougar 429 CJ. Only a hand full of Cougars ever got this trim ring. This FMX switch is correct for 1972 and 1973 but works fine on 1969, 1970 and 1971. The only difference is that the later models had one extra plug that will not be utilized when used on a 69 - 71. When it's time to replace your old decaying foam seal, go with our reproduction weatherstrip retainer foam roll with peel off adhesive. Goes between the roof and door / window channel.  These are not technically manufactured to fit the Cougar / Mustang, however these are very close to the originals and come from the manufacturer in a roll that is 4' X 1" X 1/8".  One roll is more than enough to do one side, but you will need 2 rolls to do both sides. ...
