    Description

    Please Note:

Many used items in our picture(s) have been cleaned and/or bead blasted prior to being photographed to show condition and detail. The item you receive, in most circumstances, will be pulled from the donor car and shipped to you without being cleaned. We do not retake pictures each time a used item sells. Pictures are a good indicator of what you will receive, but not all used parts age the same. On high dollar parts, email us and we can send a few pictures of the actual part available.

"Core" Items: If we use the word "Core" in the title of the product, the item has been deemed rebuildable, but has not been rebuilt.  The item you receive, in most circumstances, will be pulled from the donor car and shipped to you without being cleaned.

Hex shaped extension. Made from machined metal. Used and road tested steel extension for installing your oil pressure sending unit. Part shipped normally will not be as clean as the one pictured, we strongly suggest cleaning the inside oil passage prior to installation, it is a used part. Fits all 289, 302, 351W, 390, 427, 428CJ engines. Several versions found on this item. Steel and aluminum construction. We have both in the bin.

Please note that the 351C or 351 Cleveland engine has the it's oil sending unit screwed directly into the block and the location is at the rear top.

    Pros:
    • Functional
    Cons:
    • No Ford logo or part #
We needed to replace the oil sending unit on our '68 DGS. So we purchased a used extension to see if that would make the replacement easier; it's definitely tight in that area. It was certainly used; quite nasty with a think layer of oil build-up inside and out. It cleaned right up and I expected to find a Ford part number since it was a used extension...thinking it was original and all. No part number, no Ford logo. I won't fault WCCC completely; I can't say for sure if it's original or after-market, but I can say it fits our 302. Ford does list a part number but unsure if it is on the extension. Unhappy face for no Ford markings; Happy face for functional.

Why am I being warned about potential exposure to chemicals in motor vehicle parts?

    • Some chemicals in motor vehicle parts are on the Proposition 65 list because they can cause cancer and/or birth defects or other reproductive harm.
    • When purchasing USED or NOS items, we do not know if listed chemicals are present in these products.
    • This product is known to contain the following listed chemicals: None
I have been a cougar owner for just shy of 30 years, I have been dealing with part problems for a very long time. The people at WCCC have always be honest, and overly helpfull. I now have a 1970 XR-7 mostly rebuilt, and my son has a 1968 base...
