This clips affixes the plastic speedometer gear to the cable. Some have found that this OEM original clip fits a little better than the reproduction we offer. *Trivia* Did you know the first Cougar cast for production in 1968 was this "Custom Cougar"? This fine example was offered up on ebay summer 2008 for a mere $6500.

The only Cougar that we know came factory equipped with this part is the Cobra Jet. This is a good used speedometer cable from a 1969 - 1970 Mercury Cougar with a FMX transmission. The cable housing has no burns and the fragile plastic squeeze clip that fastens it to the back of the speedometer is not broken. Keep in mind that some 1970 models use a two part cable. This cable will work in place of the two part cable seen on some 1970 cars. This cable measures 58 1/2" at its very most outer ends.

This very rare part is unique to the 1970 - 1971 CJ and SCJ C6. There was no 390 option in 1970 - 71. This rod is unique to 1970 because it was the first year of the lock out rod. Very hard to come by when you consider there was no 390 option for 1970. Ford called this part a 'sleeve'. Attaches to the lower shifter arm with a hitch pin. Has nice bushing, with correct nut, washer, and pin. The 1967/68 and 1969/73 versions are identical. NOS power steering ram cylinder dated 6H25 or August 25, 1966. This one is date coded for a very early built 1967 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang, including Shelby GT350 and GT500. Bendix manufactured, shows a paint marking and gold cadmium? nut and band. Still has the plastic plugs and cardboard protection on the threaded shaft and drag link stud. Seals presumed to be good, but no guarantees.

This 1969-70 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang shield, was installed at the factory to protect the heater motor from being damaged when the Big Block 390 / 428CJ's were being dropped in. Used mounting bracket from a 1969-70 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang with factory installed air conditioning. This is the tab that is riveted to the blower housing, the stud goes through the firewall. This A/C vacuum canister mounts through the passenger side fender apron near the hood hinge. This vacuum reservoir controls, damper doors inside the A/C unit. This unit includes a built in check valve. Used and tested vacuum tank and bracket, also known as the A/C vacuum reservoir. Fits all 1968-70 Mercury Cougars, and is a replacement for 1967's too. Good used grommet that seals the heater hoses and A/C lines where they pass through the firewall on the passenger side.
