    Description

    Polished billet aluminum hood hinges that replace the factory hood hinges and springs with a hydraulic strut hinge.  Comes with medium duty struts for fiberglass hoods or heavy duty struts for factory / repro steel hoods.  Mounts using the same holes as the factory hood hinges with the included mounting hardware.

    It was rather tedious to install these with the recessed Allen fasteners, not sure the washers included were the best option. I love how they look, they are rock solid and the aligns perfectly but now my hood opens several inches less than the OEM hinges! The throw on the gas cylinders might be off? They are a fraction of the price of what a Ring Brothers set goes for so I will not return them but I really do with the hood opened up all the way.

    Do these have bearings on the pivot points? What is the finish?

    Manufacturer does not say. Does not really look like a bearing, it looks more like a metal bushing. But I can't really see in there to be 100% sure.
