This plastic socket is very brittle and almost always breaks when installing a new door jamb switches. Does not fit cars with Warning Group with door ajar option. Reproduction 1892 Interior Exterior Light Bulb for the 1967 - 1973 Mercury Cougar

Replacement bulb for the door ajar warning light panel. This replacement bulb does not have the flashing feature like the OEM GE 256 installed bulbs. The original bulbs have a heat tab that flashes the bulb after a couple of seconds.

For use with factory and reproduction console parts on a 1968 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. Plugs into your existing console wiring harness. Double male plug is 1968 only. Sold without light bulb. The supplier says this replaces Ford part number C7ZZ-15A808-B but that is incorrect as the Ford part number for 68 is C8ZZ-15A808-B. To use this on a 67 the plug would have to be changed to a male / female combo plug.
