    i have a 1971 cougar 302 with electronic ignition in a 74 ford truck, is this the correct voltage regulator for that engine

    You'll have to find an old ford truck forum for that one, I don't think it will work because of the electronic ignition, but not sure. That's tapping into areas we don't deal with on the Cougar.
