The function of this relay is to make only the center lights on each side illuminate when you activate the emergency warning flashers. Failure of this relay causes only the center sequential light to flash when using the turn signals. Trouble shooting these systems is takes time. A single bad ground at any portion of the turn signal circuit can cause no end to problems.
This unit is built into the 1967-68 Solid State Sequential Upgrade we sell so it is not needed if you are buying the all inclusive unit. This is a solid state unit and unlike the originals that have moving parts, this unit should never fail.

*NOTE* This unit was originally installed to the bottom side of the black cardboard trunk filler on the driver side. Many owners have relocated it to the rubber board that the sequential unit is mounted to but that is not correct. Also know that this unit is eliminated when you purchase our new, all inclusive solid state turn signal unit.
