    Description

    Please Note:

Many used items in our picture(s) have been cleaned and/or bead blasted prior to being photographed to show condition and detail. The item you receive, in most circumstances, will be pulled from the donor car and shipped to you without being cleaned. We do not retake pictures each time a used item sells. Pictures are a good indicator of what you will receive, but not all used parts age the same. On high dollar parts, email us and we can send a few pictures of the actual part available.

"Core" Items: If we use the word "Core" in the title of the product, the item has been deemed rebuildable, but has not been rebuilt.  The item you receive, in most circumstances, will be pulled from the donor car and shipped to you without being cleaned.

This is referred to as the "K5" relay in the 1968 Ford service manual. (In 1967 it was called the K7). This relay causes the flashing action of the 1968 Mercury Cougar instrument panel indicator lights and almost never works... The number stamped on this relay is C8WB-13A366-A or C8WB-13A366-C, the Ford part number is C8WY-13A366-A or C8WY-13A366-C.

We suggest replacing this unit with our new and improved solid state unit.

*Caution - Do not use the 1967 relay in place of the 1968 relay, smoke and fireworks will be the result.

Why am I being warned about potential exposure to chemicals in motor vehicle parts?

    • Some chemicals in motor vehicle parts are on the Proposition 65 list because they can cause cancer and/or birth defects or other reproductive harm.
    • When purchasing USED or NOS items, we do not know if listed chemicals are present in these products.
    • This product is known to contain the following listed chemicals: None
My 1971 Cougar XR7 was retrofitted with a Ford “400”, Edelbrock intake and 4 barrel carb, TCI Street Fighter trans, B & M Hammer shifter, and dual turbo exhaust. While this sounds interesting, the Cougar itself was seriously neglected and...
