    Description

These inserts snap into your window elevators, four per elevator, eight per door for a total of 16 per car. Often the originals are worn down from lack of lubrication which will cause your door glass to rattle. The originals were more of a clear plastic, these are white in color. These do not fit quite as well as the originals, but work as long as you are OK with the slight play.  For a tighter fit, we recommend that you see the customer reviews of this product for suggestions that have been made by other customers or purchase some of our good used Window Guide Inserts.

    Replaces Ford part # C9ZZ-6521496.

    Pros:
    • Well made
    Cons:
    • Add a little extra time to make spacers
Andrew from Down Under, gave a great tip in his review. I made plastic spacers (from my favorite tub of strawberries) making them the same width but a quarter inch longer than the insert itself and cut a horseshoe shaped slot up the middle. Works great and a nice snug fit on the window rails!

    Pros:
    • Good quality
    Cons:
    • Need some adjusting to reduce play
These guides are good quality but unfortunately not as tall as the originals and so still leave play against the window rails. Don even mentions this himself in the his video on the subject. I found a nice little tip to make them fit properly. Cut slithers of rigid plastic and place one under each wing of the guide before clicking it in to place. This gives them the extra height they need to bring them up to the original specs. They click in quite firmly so there is little chance of them falling out. You could even add a small amount of glue to insure they don't. The plastic does not need to be very thick. Like that of most clear packaging you find these days, or a shirt box for instance. Hope you find this useful.
