    Description

    Please Note:

Many used items in our picture(s) have been cleaned and/or bead blasted prior to being photographed to show condition and detail. The item you receive, in most circumstances, will be pulled from the donor car and shipped to you without being cleaned. We do not retake pictures each time a used item sells. Pictures are a good indicator of what you will receive, but not all used parts age the same. On high dollar parts, email us and we can send a few pictures of the actual part available.

"Core" Items: If we use the word "Core" in the title of the product, the item has been deemed rebuildable, but has not been rebuilt.  The item you receive, in most circumstances, will be pulled from the donor car and shipped to you without being cleaned.

NOTE! When we ship a rear end, we will remove the third member and ship it in a separate box. Some assembly will be required.

Housing overall width - 54-1/4 inches flange to flange.

Overall width measured from faces of axles, not the tips. All 1967-70 have the same overall width of 59-1/2 inches.

This economy version of our 8 inch rear end assembly is perfect for those intending to add rear disc brakes to their car.

Spring perches are 43 inches apart on center. Axle housing, with axles, and with pumpkin ONLY. From a 1967 EARLY Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. 8 inch rear end housings with fill plug in the steel housing as seen from the back of the car. As removed from West Coast Cougar organ donor car. We recommend a bearing and seal inspection prior to use. Standard ring and pinion ratio, non-locking only. Typically the axle ratio is 2.79:1.

    Bolt pattern is 5 x 4.5

*Note - Brake backing plates, used brake drums, and or hardware not included.

I bought my 69 Cougar in Jul of '09 as a retirement from the Army gift to myself. From day 1 it had intermittent heating problems that I tried to fix. I changed the radiator, thermostat, water pump, and added 2 12 in 1400 cfm electric cooling...

WCCC hooked me up with an original glove box cable and the correct screws WITH shoulders for my glove box. Their listing for these screws explains that the original screws have a shoulder for the cable and most people put in the wrong screws--which...

I have been a cougar owner for just shy of 30 years, I have been dealing with part problems for a very long time. The people at WCCC have always be honest, and overly helpfull. I now have a 1970 XR-7 mostly rebuilt, and my son has a 1968 base...

What did you LIKE about your experience? * : I am fairly new to WCCC, four or five orders (at the time of writing), but I am blessed to have found WCCC for sure. I had a small problem, couldn't find anything to work for the condensation drain on my...

I have made many purchases online with WCCC but chose this time to make a 1400 mile round trip and visited them in person. I brought a van load of parts with me that needed a home. Don helped unload them then quickly assessed the value which I...
