This direct replacement features a larger than stock diameter of 2-1/2 inches for increased performance. This is the H pipe only and is for any 1968-69 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang with stock cast iron exhaust manifolds. These units are manufactured right here in the good old USA from 2-1/2 inch aluminized pipes and made from original 1968-69 Cougars and Mustangs with the 428CJ engine. We also sell this H pipe in a 2-1/4 inch diameter and have OEM style dual exhaust systems that include the H pipe, mufflers, and tail pipes.
*NOTE* This H pipe has a larger diameter than the original Ford unit and will increase performance. The larger diameter may also increase the engine sound that you hear inside your car.
