This used fuel / gas tank shows small dents on the underside but the top side is perfect and the inside has no corrosion. This tank would be good for "splitting" and combining this good used upper half with a reproduction lower half. Used Carter fuel pump lever. From Carter made fuel pump as installed on Ford 352, 390, 410, 427, 428CJ FE engines. This short section of wiring attaches to the terminal post on the starter solenoid that faces towards the firewall. The other end is a female plug that incorporates a fusible link. If your switch were to get stuck or the frame got in a bind with continued power being applied this is the portion that would blow saving you from a costly wiring "melt-down". This same part was used on both XR7 and standard Cougars with a power sunroof or convertible top.

This original part has been reinforced to brace the front frame rails / tie together lower control arm pivots in a superior way to the original design. C5ZZ-7610962-A Ford description of this plate is "Plate - Front floor lower cross member". All 1967-73 Cougar convertibles and all 1965-73 Ford Mustang convertibles use this plate. Bolts into place with 6 hex bolts 3/8-16 x 1-1/8" with washers. These were painted satin black from the factory. As you look at our picture below you will see the repro is about half the thickness. The repro is different in every detail but will work. We also have used plates with minor damage at a reduced cost.

These convertible black interior "A" pillar mouldings are sold as a pair only. The texture and contour look good when installed but when turned over you will see they are thicker than original and are made from a different material than original. Reproduction gas tank to filler pipe hose fits the 67 to 70 Mercury Cougar, measures 4 1/2" long. Excludes 1970 with California emissions. This is the rubber that goes into the bracket of the bottom of the center of the door, for 1970 bolt-in door glass.  Note that this bumper is substantially taller than the 69 version.  See C9ZZ-6521762-A for the 1969 glued-in door glass version. If you are swapping out a door on a 69 or a 70 don't forget that the door glass is different between the years and, if you have to swap out the glass, you will need to make sure you have the correct version of this part for the type of glass...

We've found that when using our reproduction drop down bracket (for those with headers), the bushings in this kit will rip and tear through the oversized hole, so you can also purchase the pair of the premium polyurethane bushings and the issue will go away.
