This is the best made, most correct Mercury Cougar trunk mat on the market (Mustang mats will not fit). Made of heavy die-cut vinyl with correct gray and black plaid pattern. The opening for the spare tire is not cut out, just in case that your Cougar has the space saver spare tire. You will need to carefully transfer the hole and cut it out yourself with a blade.
Do NOT confuse this with the light duty mat you will see elsewhere listed for the same money or less. The budget mats you see elsewhere weigh only a few ounces and flail around inside your trunk every time you close the lid! The pattern will not smudge or wear off easily and it will lay flat and fit perfect the first time. The budget mats are made of light duty table cloth material and have to be glued to stay in place.
