This is a bezel nut tool used to remove the toggle switch bezel nuts on 67 - 68 & 71 - 73 XR7 Mercury Cougars. No more scratches trying to remove with the wrong tools. These are made from HRS steel and are milled to fit the bezel nut. This is a MUST HAVE if you are replacing a toggle switch or taking apart your dash, we use this tool in our shop all the time and love it!

    Just plain wrong

    Material:

    Craftsmanship:
    Correctness:
    1.50 out of 5
    Pros:
    • None
    Cons:
    • Useless

The prongs on the tool are to large to fit in the slots in three nuts rendering it useless.

    WCCC Response:

The latest batch of these seems to have burrs and bevels to some of the cuts, not as precise as they have been previously.  You should be able to file them down a bit and they should work as expected. If you would like you can send it back and ask that we send you one we have verified to fit.

    Pros:
    Cons:
Tool works well as the switch nuts (at least on my Cougar) were not overly tight. I would have tgiven 5 stars accross the board of the tool would have been built like a socket instaed of just having "flats" for a wrench.

    Correctness:
    4.00 out of 5
    Pros:
    Cons:
Works good, I wish it was made of delron or hard plastic and maybe has a stamp on it so 5 years from now I can Remember what it’s for....would be nice to get a whole kit deal with all three of these special tools on a ring or something. And it would be better if it had a 1/4” female end for ratchet attachment
