The Mercury Cougar used this articulated strut rod in 1967 to help give the Cougar a little softer ride over the Mustang. It is debatable just how much the addition of this joint helped. Many people choose to switch these struts for either 1968-69 or 1970-73 strut rods. The main reason is to be able to utilize the reproduction 1968-73 lower control arms, the second reason one would move away from this one year only, cougar only rod is that it is difficult to rebuild. We only sell grade "A", clean straight 67 rods with tight bushings in place. These rods carry a Ford part number of C7WY-3468-C, right is the same as left, the upper and lower brackets that hold them to the control arms have separate part numbers and are C7WY-3B269-A and C7WY-3B272-B and determine that these are for the driver side.
*Note - These will not bolt onto reproduction or replacement lower control arms.
