    This quality reproduction 1967 Mustang part can easily be made to fit your 1967 - 1968 XR7 or 1967 standard Cougar manual transmission console simply by drilling the two holes near the front for the spring clips that attach the pad to the console. See the diagram below for correct hole size and location. This plate was used on both three and four speed manual transmission Cougars equipped with the optional center console. Not for use on 1968 standard / decor consoles. Replaces Ford Part #: C7ZZ-7C309

    Hello! I am wondering if this plate will work with my combination. I have a 67 Cougar base model that I have converted to a T-5 from the C4 automatic. The shifter appears to be closer to the passenger side of the console where the photo of this repro replacement appears to be closer to the drivers side. Do you have any experience with this conversion?

    We honestly have not had much experience with T-5 conversions. We focus on stock applications. There are however guys over at ClassicCougarCommunity.com/forum that have T-5 conversion, so someone on the forum could likely answer your question.
