This product is an NOS Part.
NOS items are OEM parts from Ford that have been sitting on shelves or in warehouses for years. These are often great examples of the orignal parts, but they may have scratches or other shelf wear.
However be aware that some NOS parts are "service replacement" parts. "Service replacement" parts are not exact replacements of the parts that were installed at the factory, but are what Ford considered as "good enough" and were used at Ford dealerships after the original supply of parts was exhausted.

NORS 4194S Carter fuel pump. This is a original Carter, button top fuel pump stamped 4194S. This is the early style with CARTER and USA, has the 5/16" fuel nipple. Correct for 1967 Mercury Cougar with S code 390 engines and 1966-67 Ford or Mercury with S code 390-4V V-8 engines. The stampings on the housing edge is usually pretty light, sometimes the date stamp is not legible. These are so tough to find in the wild, that unless we have multiples and legible dates, we will not post the dates. This is a service replacement Carter fuel pump, not an assembly line version. Assembly line examples will have the Carter name imprinted "CARbureTER". This is an in the box new fuel pump.
