If your Cougar has to sit outside for any length of time this is a must. Not only will it protect from unwanted moisture but pine needles and other debris will be kept out. If your cowl already leaks then this is a great way to prevent the floors from rusting. Spring loaded T shaped fasteners make for instant installation and removal, attaches under grate bars so as not to damage paint. Very worth while preventative maintenance item.
Crankshaft oil slinger for all small block Ford V-8's, starting 1963 until at least through 1973. 1963-68 289 and 289 HiPo engines. 1968-73 302 engines, 1969-70 Boss 302 engines, 1969-73 351W engines. Goes on the crankshaft after the timing gear and before the timing chain cover. It does have a purpose on the vintage engines. Outside diameter about 2-7/8 inches. Ford part number C3OZ-6310-A.

Single cylinder head from 1967 Mercury Cougar with California smog 289 engines, 289-2V and 289-4V all the same. Sold as a core, needs thorough cleaning and rebuilding prior to use. Typically this cylinder head has 1.78 and 1.45 inch valves, and the chambers measure out at 54-55 cc's. With stock pistons, these heads will net an approximate compression ration of 9.3:1.
