Most often the problem with our Grade "B" deck / trunk lids is rust under the lip. We do not sell "rotted out" deck / trunk lids. Like the deck / trunk lid shown here you will be able to sand blast it and treat the rust so as to prevent it from spreading. We almost guarantee that at least "some" pin holes will appear after you have blasted the underside. This is the 1.37" X 1.66 X .31 plastic grommet that goes inside the trunk to protect the trunk wires from rubbing the edges of the sheet metal body. This grommet was also used for the hood light wiring under the hood.

These are bolted to the rear frame rails and were used to tie the car down to the transporter for the journey from the factory to the dealer. The dealer was supposed to remove them and return them for a credit as instructed by the dealer. Notice the sticker on the rear license plate frame (decal is available in the decal section)? Good used L bracket that is not heavily rusted or bent. Passenger side is marked from the factory with an "R" and driver side is marked with an "L". The portion with the lip mounts vertically and the purpose of the lip is to align the splash shield into the proper location.

There was an more common thermal version that used temperature to open the trap door to the heat stove. In most cases the vacuum valve will not be working.
