Leaf Springs shipping time is 12 weeks.
All of our springs are intended to return the car to factory height. Because of that, installing new springs will almost always increase the height of the rear of the car, as the factory leafs sag over the years. The competition springs will sit slightly lower than standard springs, somewhere between 1/2" and 1" lower. The competition springs cause the car to have a slightly lower the center of gravity and the competition springs are a stiffer spring, so these factors combine to help provide improved handling.
All springs include front eye bushings. In most circumstances these ship directly from the manufacturer. The leaf springs differed between the Mustang and the Cougar. These are Factory spec replacement leaf springs for the Cougar.
NOTE:
If you have a Cougar with a front bench seat, it would have come from the factory with a heavier duty leaf spring the account for the weight of a 6th person. These heavier duty springs are only necessary if you ever intend on actually transporting 6 people in your Cougar. If you would like to purchase the heavier duty springs please let us know in the notes and we can special order them.
