    Description

    Description:

This one year only, three spoke wheel was used on all Cougars in 1969 except the Cougars equipped with standard interior. The standard interior Cougars used the solid colored two spoke wheel. The un-restored XR7 pad and bezel shown are not included with the wheel, they are sold separately. As we prefer to start with a very nice core wheel, a good core wheel is required in exchange or a core charge will apply. We choose to only send in wheels that are not separating or have large cracks as the end result looks superior and holds up better to the test of time.Same basic steering wheel was used on lots of various 1969 Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury cars.
This is a Restoration Service, 1969 Rim Blow Exchange Only - Please call 503-463-1130 if you do not have a core 1969 steering wheel to send.

*NOTE* When sending your wheel in for restoration please scribe your name in the exposed metal area under the steering wheel pad. It can take as long as three months before you get your wheel back. The wheel we are offering here is a black wheel. If you want a color other than black you will have to call us for availability or supply your core in advance.

    Question
    Asked:
What is the diameter of this steering wheel?

    Answer
    WCCC Admin Answered:
This listing is for a service to rebuild OEM 69 Cougar Rimblo steering wheels, it is not for a specific steering wheel. This service requires that you send us a steering wheel to be restored. Sometimes we have cores we can sell you that can be restored. That being said, the stock steering wheel on the 69 Cougar is approximately 15" in diameter.

Why am I being warned about potential exposure to chemicals in motor vehicle parts?

    • Some chemicals in motor vehicle parts are on the Proposition 65 list because they can cause cancer and/or birth defects or other reproductive harm.
    • When purchasing USED or NOS items, we do not know if listed chemicals are present in these products.
    • This product is known to contain the following listed chemicals:
I bought my 69 Cougar in Jul of '09 as a retirement from the Army gift to myself. From day 1 it had intermittent heating problems that I tried to fix. I changed the radiator, thermostat, water pump, and added 2 12 in 1400 cfm electric cooling...

My 1971 Cougar XR7 was retrofitted with a Ford “400”, Edelbrock intake and 4 barrel carb, TCI Street Fighter trans, B & M Hammer shifter, and dual turbo exhaust. While this sounds interesting, the Cougar itself was seriously neglected and...

WCCC hooked me up with an original glove box cable and the correct screws WITH shoulders for my glove box. Their listing for these screws explains that the original screws have a shoulder for the cable and most people put in the wrong screws--which...

I have been a cougar owner for just shy of 30 years, I have been dealing with part problems for a very long time. The people at WCCC have always be honest, and overly helpfull. I now have a 1970 XR-7 mostly rebuilt, and my son has a 1968 base...

What did you LIKE about your experience? * : I am fairly new to WCCC, four or five orders (at the time of writing), but I am blessed to have found WCCC for sure. I had a small problem, couldn't find anything to work for the condensation drain on my...
