    Description

This wheel was optional on any 1969-70 Cougar except the 1969 Eliminator which came standard with the 12 hole painted rally wheel. In 1970 the Eliminator used this SS wheel but it was optional, not standard equipment.  These are exact reproductions in every way except they are welded, not riveted to the center section.

NOTE! These wheels are intended to be balanced with a lugcentric adapter. They will not balance with a traditional cone spacer on the tire spin balancer. Many tire shops do not deal with classics and do not have the right attachment. If you attempt to balance these wheels without the correct adapter they will resemble a bent wheel.

They come with the five stainless inserts per wheel as shown, but the stainless steel trim ring, lug nuts and center cap are sold separate.

    Pros:
    • Look
    Cons:
    • paint adhesion
I test fit one NOS center cap on a wheel to check fitment. Fit was fine but when I popped off the center cap, the wheel paint was marred/paint gone showing the circular pattern of the center cap. I truly hope this is no indication of the paint adhesion quality. I am having the tires mounted Thursday and will report back.

I bought my 69 Cougar in Jul of '09 as a retirement from the Army gift to myself. From day 1 it had intermittent heating problems that I tried to fix. I changed the radiator, thermostat, water pump, and added 2 12 in 1400 cfm electric cooling...

I have been a cougar owner for just shy of 30 years, I have been dealing with part problems for a very long time. The people at WCCC have always be honest, and overly helpfull. I now have a 1970 XR-7 mostly rebuilt, and my son has a 1968 base...
