    Description

NOTE: WE SUGGEST LOCAL PICK UP ONLY FOR CORE ENGINE BLOCKS BECAUSE WE CANNOT GUARANTEE BLOCKS WILL NOT HAVE CRACKS INTERNALLY.

Long block, factory H code 351-2V V-8 engine. 351 Cleveland engine rated at 250 Hp with 9.5:1 compression ratio in 1970. Likely 0.030" bored motor that may or may not have been in running condition when pulled. Guaranteed to be rebuildable. Complete engine less carburetor, distributor, exhaust manifolds, fan, accessories, pulleys, and flex plate. Intake manifold and oil pan are included but oil pan will be in poor condition. We would be happy to match your build date. Most of our engines originally came with an automatic transmission, in some cases these blocks will not have the tapped hole for the manual transmission Z-bar bracket. Carburetors, fans, distributors, accessories, and pulleys are available separately. Many different combinations of pulleys and brackets depend upon things such as air conditioning and power steering.

This item cannot ship through any conventional methods (USPS, UPS etc). Along with the cost of the item, crate fees and shipping charges will usually add up to about $600. Motors ship via www.forwardair.com so be sure and check their locations as you will be picking up at their terminal.

The 2V motor is actually quicker off the line than the 4V and has bigger ports than almost all the like sized "Performance" Chevy engines of the day. Great street motor...

    Cons:
WCCC also sells short blocks. My 70 351C-4V engine needed rebuilding and I was i search of a used standard bore block. While I found a few local listings I was concerned about potential issues and a supplier that would stand behind their sale. After years of dealing with Don and the crew at WCCC I decided to pay the extra for shipping all the way to Houston. The first block arrived and was cleaned up, disassembled, and Magnafluxed. Bad news, a non-visible water jacket crack was found. Don was not hesitant in making it right and a second block was shipped. That one has made it through inspection and my engine rebuild is in progress.
The ratings above are all 5's, for a wrecking yard item that is probably excessive but my expectations in each area were fully satisfied.
