These NOS sill plates always have some degree of shelf wear due to the many years they have been shuffled around. The biggest difference you will see with NOS vs. the two different levels of reproductions is the finish. The NOS parts are far less bright and less prone to showing hairline scratches. This listing is for a 3 bolt type upper ball joint, NOS, original Ford Service replacement upper control arm assembly. We have a very hard time keeping these in stock but we keep the listing up as it is good for comparison sake when considering the differences between reproduction and OEM. Keep in mind, service replacement parts often differ slightly from what actually came on the car. Over the years tooling is often replaced or modified and suppliers of things like fasteners often change....

They made three different versions of this plate for non console Mercury Cougars equipped with a manual three or four speed transmission. Sold as a pair only, very limited supply. Driver side part number is C7WY-16304-B and passenger side part number is C7WY-16304-A. The casting number imprinted on the part is C7WB-17B957-B for the driver side and C7WB-17B951-B on the passenger side. The Mercury MPC refers to these as "anti squeak pads".

Also referred to as "Bumperettes", this kit was available as an over the counter option for your 1967 or 1968 Mercury Cougar. According to Kevin Marti's book, "Cougar By The Numbers" 15,018 Cougars received rear bumper guards from the factory in 1968, that data is not listed for 1967 but it is assumed that the numbers are about the same. This is an original NOS hot idle compensator for Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang models with V-8 engine and factory A/C. It is installed in the middle of the hose that connects the PCV valve to the rear of the carburetor spacer. Pliable, soft used trim with no burns or nicks. 1967 is actually the same as 1968 but 1967 had a coat hook installed over the trim and it leave a permanent indentation that will not come out. If your Cougar has to sit outside for any length of time this is a must. Not only will it protect from unwanted moisture but pine needles and other debris will be kept out. If your cowl already leaks then this is a great way to prevent the floors from rusting. Spring loaded T shaped fasteners make for instant installation and removal, attaches under grate bars so as not to damage paint. Very worth while preventative maintenance item.

Single cylinder head from 1967 Mercury Cougar with 390-4V engine. Sold as a core, needs thorough cleaning and rebuilding prior to use.
