This reproduction OE steel front to rear axles disc brake line is for Mercury Cougars produced before Feb. 1967.
Early production brake lines were routed 'over' the steering column.
This intermediate style Carbon Steel line attaches to the transmission tunnel and connects the brass distribution block in the front to the flexible brake hose at the rear of the car. This version is for 1967 Mercury Cougars with rear mounted proportioning valves. Application does not change if the front is drum or disc in the front, all Cougars 1967-1973 came with drum in the back.
Not for Mustang as the Mustang had a shorter wheel base than Cougar.
Line is too long to economically be shipped without bending it over, carefully straighten it out prior to installation.
Intermediate Brake Lines are the lines running from the front of the car to the back feeding your rear brakes. These lines will run along your chassis all the way back to the rear brake drop hose. All lines come Pre-Bent and flared with the correct threaded fittings which reduces your install time tremendously. Our mild steel lines are Galphan coated for added protection.
