If your original is pitted or has come apart this will be a clean, crack free used replacement that will easily snap in place. Technically not correct for 69 in that the shade of green would be darker in 1969. Why this car did not have the xr7 woodgrain delete plate we are unsure.

This tube is embedded into the cylinder head making it rather difficult to remove intact. Note that the nut and ferrule assembly is made of two pieces, with the ferrule being a compression fitting used to secure the smog tubes to a series of ports on the cylinder head. Application is for the FE engines 390, 427 428. This assembly is needed for the installation of the cylinder head air supply tubes. Sold as one nut / one ferrule. 8 total needed for smog tube attaching. Originally these were installed in conjunction with a lower tube.

This vacuum actuated door assembly was used on several performance motors without Ram Air. When extra air was needed under heavy acceleration the vacuum actuator opened the door on the side of the air cleaner base. The actuator on this unit needs to be rebuilt so this is considered a good core only.
