This windshield wiper delay governor mounts to the driver side firewall. To find where this mounts on the firewall, look for two dimples. Wiring is simple, unplug the windshield wiper harness and plug the male and female ends into the appropriate plugs on the controller. This harness connects the convertible top motor to the under dash convertible top harness under the dash. Fits 1969-70 Mercury Cougar and 1969-70 Ford Mustang. This wire rests in the trough under the passenger side sill plate and goes behind the back seat where the convertible top pump is located.Ford part number C9ZB-15A668-B.

This black wire attaches to the Circuit Breaker coming off the starter solenoid on one end then passes through the firewall to mate with the top switch wiring harness at the other end. We believe that some 1969 harnesses may have used a fusible link wiring harness in place of this one. This harness and the circuit breaker can be used on those applications.Ford part number C9ZB-15A669-B or C9ZZ-15A669-B.

This black wire attaches to the fusible link. The Fusible link connects to the starter solenoid with an eyelet connector, then connects to this wire with a billet connector. This wire then passes through the firewall to mate with the power top switch wiring under the dash. This fusible link is a section of wire connecting the starter solenoid on one end and wiring harness that passes through the firewall to mate with the top switch wiring. Correct for power sunroof equipped Cougars. May also work for XR7 and Standard convertibles.

This 1965 Mustang alignment pin is not correct for the 1969 to 1973 Cougar but it will work. See the image to the left to see the comparison to an original 69 pin.

Used to cushion and protect top vinyl from excessive wear from side rails. Unfortunately none of the reproductions that we have found resemble the OEM pads. OEM pads looked canvas on the under side that goes against the convertible top rails, and what looked like the soft side of a velcro strip on the upper side that makes contact with the convertible top itself.
