Designed for optimum AM/FM reception. Excellent solution where a conventional antenna is not desirable (ie you do not want the antenna sticking out of the top of your fender), or when you want a power antenna or just better reception without having to replacing the factory antenna with a non-original looking antenna. Allows for complete removal of factory antenna or for the factory antenna to be disconnected and left in place to maintain the factory look. Multiple mounting options...

This is one RARE unit for sure! ...
This economy reproduction is not an exact copy, but does have a similar rectangle base. This is not a retractable antenna. Replaces part # C8ZZ-18813-A.
Easily replace the whip style antenna on your 73 just by unscrewing your current antenna mast and screwing in this new 100% correct stainless exact replacement. Replaces Ford Part #: D3AZ-18886
Very correct kit for the 1973! Not only does this kit include all the correct hardware, but also a photocopy of the original Ford template showing where to place the antenna on the passenger side fender. The rectangular base gasket is actually not correct for a Mercury Cougar as it has a Ford Mustang part number and is of a different shape and thickness. To retain the exact, correct angle on your 1971 - 1973 Mercury Cougar mast you will want to reuse your thicker original gasket. We usually...
