Very correct kit for the 1973! Not only does this kit include all the correct hardware, but also a photocopy of the original Ford template showing where to place the antenna on the passenger side fender. The rectangular base gasket is actually not correct for a Mercury Cougar as it has a Ford Mustang part number and is of a different shape and thickness. To retain the exact, correct angle on your 1971 - 1973 Mercury Cougar mast you will want to reuse your thicker original gasket.
