The only way you will ever get this plastic "table cloth type" mat to lay flat is to glue it down. They do however work well for catching oil spills under your Cougar when turned felt side up. Carburetor choke pull off for most 2V and 4V Autolite or Motorcraft carburetors 1958-74. Diaphragm with a hook on it, to 'pull off' the choke. This dealer installed kit was designed to fit many FoMoCo products. These were most commonly mounted on the driver side rear panel. They were taller than the standard antenna so mounting them on the driver side would protect them from low lying branches and other obstructions that more often come in contact with the passenger side of the car. These are good reproductions of the originals for your American Sunroof Corporation Golde Sun Roof. The roof opening seal is 89 1/4" x 3/4" and the seal that affixes to the rear edge of the roof panel measures 42 1/2" x 3/4". These have the correct aluminum inner core with rubber bead, wrapped in the correct felt textured, black material.
