Description

1969-70 Mercury Cougar XR7 dash 3 pin on / off rocker switch. Suitable for any position, MAP COURTESY PANEL or ACCY. Switches sold pit free on the chrome. Switches guaranteed to work, but are likely stiff. Electro solvent usually helps with that sticking condition, see product label for directions prior to use. These are sold individually and in most applications four are used except in 1970 xr7 convertibles or or 1970 xr7 coupes with rear defog. In these cases a different design of switch was used and the surrounding bezel would be labeled "Top" or "Defog" in the farthest position to the right. The fourth switch is never used on the 1969 xr7, it is just there to fill the hole.

these are beauties very clean and functional TY oops no clips

The switches are restored and look like new except the clips are missing that hold the backing wiring harness this is a problem. these were part of switch body not the harness so watch out.

Doesn't come with clips

I must say I was a bit disappointed when I received the switch and it did not include the clips it needs to directly install the switch. Now I have to figure out how to get the old clip off the original switch and install it on this one. Also you have to clean the contacts with some sort of contact cleaner.
The image doesn't show the clips so shame on me I guess.
The switch was in good condition and the switch mechanism worked well.
