This product is an NOS Part.
NOS items are OEM parts from Ford that have been sitting on shelves or in warehouses for years. These are often great examples of the orignal parts, but they may have scratches or other shelf wear.
However be aware that some NOS parts are "service replacement" parts. "Service replacement" parts are not exact replacements of the parts that were installed at the factory, but are what Ford considered as "good enough" and were used at Ford dealerships after the original supply of parts was exhausted.
We often leave NOS product listings on our website after they sell for reference purposes.
NOS new old stock . This unit is known as the "K5" relay in the service manual and is stamped with C7WB-13A366-B. The turn signal indicator relay switches the indicator light circuit so that the left indicator lamp on the instrument panel flashes for left turns and the right lamp flashes for right turns. Application is 1967 Mercury Cougar. This unit (and subsequent system) is an inherently weak design. Make sure your ground wires are clean and connected firmly and all your light sockets are clean. You may also consider going to a higher amperage alternator, some have even opted to convert to a Chevrolet alternator with an internal voltage regulator. Learn more at www.mercurycougar.net
