Retainer that screws to upper rear lip near the quarter glass on all 1969-70 Mercury Cougar hardtops and 1970 Ford Mustang coupes. Ford lists this part as: Retainer - quarter trim panel rear. We see these three ways on 1969-70 Cougars: one retainer in the rear position alone, two of these retainers front and rear, and one small retainer at the rear and one large retainer at the front of the panel.

This is a much higher quality bracket than other reproductions. Correct texture and fit. The bracket offered by most companies is just pot metal sprayed gray. Replaces Ford Part #: C7SZ-3A732-B or C7ZZ-3A732-B.

Installation of this bracket is easy but you will have to make a spacer to fit on the outside of the frame rail. One must use this part when installing headers with power steering. Hopefully you bought this bracket first before you tore out the nut inserts in the frame. Application could be for any 1967-69 Ford 289 / 302 /351W, but with only a single alternator belt. This is a copy of the Ford 7AA power steering pulley. This pulley mounted correctly on an OEM pump with factory brackets, will run on the second V-belt from the inside. The inner most fan belt runs the alternator. You would be using a single belt on the alternator. Correct application is for 1969 with 351W engines. 5-1/4" diameter and 3/8" sheave width.
