Golde was a company from West Germany and also supplied parts to many other auto manufacturers such as Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, VW, BMW, Mopar, and Ford. This is the correct, original cover for your 1969-70 Mercury Cougar and 1969-70 Ford Mustang antenna. The Ford MPC calls this part a cap, it is the stainless steel rectangular piece of trim that goes on top of your factory antenna base. These are angled, so watch the orientation when installing.  Most of these had a paper tag with part number and "FRONT" installed at the factory.
