Ford started using this alternator adjusting bracket sometime in 1973. It mounts to the rear of the alternator. Fits any 1973 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang and likely many other Ford cars with 351 engines. It works with the 1970-73 front mounting bracket. Replaces Ford part number D3AE-10145-C.

This air cleaner assembly never came from the factory on any Cougar, but was an over the counter option available from your Ford dealer. If you have a very nice hood blanket I would think twice before using it in conjunction with this air cleaner assembly as it will leave an imprint.
