Correct size and style white square plastic insert that clips onto front or rear license plate bracket on any 1967-73 Mercury Cougar. Each kit allows one license plate to be mounted. The actual screw has a large head which is made for license plates, but is not the factory Ford style of fastener for Concours judged cars. New Old Stock driver side bumper filler. These 73 side fillers are made of a rubber material as opposed to plastic like the 71-72. 1973 is also different than 71-72 in that 1973 brought about new federal crash requirements. The 73 model has the bumper spaced further out which makes all three of the rear bumper fillers wider. 1973 has longer rear bumper brackets than 1971-72. Mercury master part number D3WY-17C838-A, also called a deflector, would be painted body color.

This unit mounts on the main air chamber, it opens and closes the air vent. Made of nylon with a brass plunger. This unit is easy to test and can be seen by removing the glove box. Often it is the internal spring that fails on these and if your Cougar or Mustang will not easily change between blowing through the defrost ducts and the floor duct, this unit may be the culprit.
