This is a grade 'A' used mirror assembly with no UV damage and has had the mirror lens "re-silvered". Keep in mind a restored lens that is decades old will look good when finished but almost never flawless as the surface of the glass will usually have light scratches and often faint spotting on the backside from previous water damage / staining. This mirror nut for the 70 - 73 Cougar or Mustang is made from stainless steel, as compared to the other reproduction we offer which is made from die cast metal. A few benefits of the stainless steel nut is that the finish on it will not tarnish over time, and that it cannot be cross threaded.
