Often when your fuel gauge is acting up, this is the culprit, not the gauge or sending unit. The problem with these brass floats, is that after year of being in contact with fuel, they will begin to corrode and disintegrate. We suggest going with the new foam floats. Low quality off shore part that requires soldering to your fuel sending unit. This is a temperature sensing device that activates when the fuel level drops enough to expose the unit at which point the circuit is closed and the low fuel light comes on. Commonly referred to as a Thermister / Thermistor / Low Fuel Sending Unit.

Used glove compartment lock latch without a key. Fits many Ford cars 1969-73 including Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang. Mustangs normally did not have lockable glove boxes, but this will still work. These plastic backing plates are found on all 71-73 Cougars with standard interior. Since most Cougars had decor or XR7 interior we have a limited supply of these and cannot guarantee we can get the color you desire, but we will try to accommodate. Right is the same as left. Keep in mind these same parts can be found on many Fords and Mercury's throughout the 70's
