This fusible link is a section of wire connecting the starter solenoid on one end and wiring harness that passes through the firewall to mate with the top switch wiring. Correct for power sunroof equipped Cougars. May also work for XR7 and Standard convertibles.

This short section of wiring attaches to the terminal post on the starter solenoid that faces towards the firewall. The other end is a female plug that incorporates a fusible link. If your switch were to get stuck or the frame got in a bind with continued power being applied this is the portion that would blow saving you from a costly wiring "melt-down". This same part was used on both XR7 and standard Cougars with a power sunroof or convertible top.

Reproduction grommet that seals the heater hoses and A/C lines where they pass through the firewall on the passenger side. Made from closed cell foam, as opposed to the originals being rubber.* Note - Used starting during the later part of 1969. Compare the evaporator line orientation for both years.

Reproduction rubber grommet for the air conditioning case. This grommet encloses the tubes for the evaporator, and slides into a slot on the heater box. Owners with 1969 A/C please look at your existing grommet for the triangle shape like in the picture. Fits some 1969 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang (late built cars), and should be all 1970-73 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang. Replaces Ford part number C9ZZ-19B552-A.
