For all 390-4V and 428 Cobra Jet engines with manual transmissions. Ford part number C9ZZ-6A023-B. This part weighs 3.24 pounds and when set on a level surface the height of the mounting hole on the driver side measures 2 3/4" on center and the passenger side is 3 3/8" on center. *NOTE* The majority of these we see have the stamping on the inside "390 STD". If the unit is void of this stamping do not dismiss it as being correct, look at our specs listed here for the more definitive answer....

Single cylinder head from 1970-71 Mercury Cougar with M code 351C-4V engines. Sold as a core, needs thorough cleaning and rebuilding prior to use. Typically this cylinder head has 2.19 and 1.71 inch valves, and the chambers measure out at 62.8 cc's. These are considered 'Closed Chamber Heads'. These were installed at the factory on 390 / 427 / 428 equipped cars that were exported to countries that did not require the smog system. They are much shorter than the over the Ford counter service plugs you see in the states that are put on after one removes the smog system.
