1967 Ford Mustang

This air cleaner was used on the 1967 GT Cougar only. It was possible to order a 390 GT motor for your Cougar without ordering the 390 GT package. Cougars equipped with the 390 6.5 Litre engine that did not come with the GT package would have used the air cleaner with a long tapered snorkel and painted lid. Factory air cleaner base for all S code 1967 Mercury Cougar non-GT or with the 6.5 Liter option, 1967 Mustang 390-4V without the GT option, and 1967 Ford Thunderbird with Z code 390-4V or Q code 428-4V engines. 49 state versions like this do not have the steel elbow on the air cleaner side which became standard on cars beginning in 1968.

Each of these great kits include all three required cables, including part numbers, proper terminal and post clamp ends. Starter cables are properly shielded from heat.
