This is a very rare wheel found only on early XR7-G models. Soon after being put into service, the wheels were found to have multiple short-comings including flexing, cracking and lug seating problems. They were officially recalled and replaced with the Kelsey Hayes 5 spoke SS wheel. The original manufacturer of the XR7-G wheels was Trans American Products. The style used on the XR7-G was known as the "Rader". Only a few sets of these are known to be mounted on original xr7G models today....

Some have found that this OEM original clip fits a little better than the reproduction we offer. *Trivia* Did you know the first Cougar cast for production in 1968 was this "Custom Cougar"? This fine example was offered up on ebay summer 2008 for a mere $6500.

The only Cougar that we know came factory equipped with this part is the Cobra Jet. According to the Master Parts Catalog (MPC), any Cougar with a 3.91 or 4.11 rear end and a C-6 would have been equipped with this reducer. This is a part that we will probably never have on hand, but would love to document. Ford called this part a 'sleeve'. Attaches to the lower shifter arm with a hitch pin. Has nice bushing, with correct nut, washer, and pin. The 1967/68 and 1969/73 versions are identical. The C1AA-7353-C sleeve has fine threads, the C9OZ-7353-A has course threads. Fits all 1967-73 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang, and we suspect many other Ford vehicles beginning in 1961. Attaches to the console shifter bezel on any 1967-68 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. We occasionally have these available when we get broken console bezels. This surround or "U" plate was originally attached with heat to pin connectors. To reattach we suggest using glue. 1967-69 Mercury Cougar and 1965 - 1969 Ford Mustang shifter handle for automatic transmissions. We find this smaller early style chromed shifter handle in lots of 1969 Cougars, we believe that there was a transition period before the C8OZ-7213-A was used. NOS power steering ram cylinder dated 6H25 or August 25, 1966. This one is date coded for a very early built 1967 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang, including Shelby GT350 and GT500. Bendix manufactured, shows a paint marking and gold cadmium? nut and band. Still has the plastic plugs and cardboard protection on the threaded shaft and drag link stud. Seals presumed to be good, but no guarantees.

First generation Cougars 1967 and 1968, used a single bracket for C4 automatics and both 3 speed and 4 speed manual transmissions. This is what the salesman would have handed you in 1967-68 when you inquired about a new Cougar. Rare find, mint condition, very limited quantity. Notice that only the later version had the green insert announcing the mid year changes. Most of our copies do not come with the green supplement. Core regulator assembly or brain box for factory speed control on a early 1968-69 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. This is the Perfect Circle regulator assembly. Basic Ford part number is 9D757, research has not turned up the complete Ford number possibly C8VY-9D757-A. Core grade, most likely will need servicing or repair. Bare unit, no brackets, wiring or cables. *Note - We do not have the tools or know how to test this unit.
