I ordered this to install during a clutch pedal support and booster replacement even though the old master cylinder was working ok. The description said it was considered concours correct and showed it with a gold cad cover. The master cylinder I received had a silver cover like my original. I had a gold cad cover(#14237) I purchased before that was supposed to fit this master cylinder. But the gold cad cover was too small. I installed the master cylinder with the silver cover it came with and it fits and works fine. The item description info needs to be corrected.

Bolted right into my '69 with no fitment issues. I did have to loosen the distribution block to start the lines threading into the master cylinder. Another review mention the cap is very tight and it is but it should not leak. Not 100% correct but 100% functional.

I will agree with an earlier post that this is not the correct master for disc front and drum rear. I can confirm that it does not have a residual valve for the rear drums and will cause excessive pedal travel. I purchased this in 2020 and have been trying to troubleshoot the excessive travel ever since.

This master cylinder is advertised as being correct for power disc/drum cars, but it does not have a residual pressure valve in the port that feeds the rear brakes. Drum brakes need this residual valve, without it you'll have excessive pedal travel. I ended up ripping this MC off my car and switching to a Raybestos MC36251 which does have the proper residual valve installed.

I bought this unit with an increased bore due to adding a Baer brake setup for the front. I like the pedal travel and brakes seem to work better. Still have the brake light switch on. I was hoping it'd reset on it's own with the new master cylinder but, no luck. Overall I'm happy with the unit and went on relatively easy. No issues with shock towers, but I did have to cut the old one out. One tip is make sure the rod is inside the brake booster when taking of the master cylinder. Good products and I would by a rebuild kit next time. Not much to rebuilding the master cylinder, I wanted the extra bore size.
