Perfect fit, made it easy to install.
I ordered this to install during a clutch pedal support and booster replacement even though the old master cylinder was working ok. The description said it was considered concours correct and showed it with a gold cad cover. The master cylinder I received had a silver cover like my original. I had a gold cad cover(#14237) I purchased before that was supposed to fit this master cylinder. But the gold cad cover was too small. I installed the master cylinder with the silver cover it came with and it fits and works fine. The item description info needs to be corrected.
Fits fine on my 1969 Cougar, works fine, no problems
Fits well, operates well and looks stock.
Looks correct but a few weeks before install.
Bolted right into my '69 with no fitment issues. I did have to loosen the distribution block to start the lines threading into the master cylinder. Another review mention the cap is very tight and it is but it should not leak. Not 100% correct but 100% functional.
I bought this unit with an increased bore due to adding a Baer brake setup for the front. I like the pedal travel and brakes seem to work better. Still have the brake light switch on. I was hoping it'd reset on it's own with the new master cylinder but, no luck. Overall I'm happy with the unit and went on relatively easy. No issues with shock towers, but I did have to cut the old one out. One tip is make sure the rod is inside the brake booster when taking of the master cylinder. Good products and I would by a rebuild kit next time. Not much to rebuilding the master cylinder, I wanted the extra bore size.
This thing is great in that there will be zero farting around with flare fittings the wrong size or in slightly wrong locations. Its looks are darn good, with a silver, not gold or retro plating on the cover as per the illustration. The bail is super-sturdy; watch that thumb! It is not a rebuilt Ford casting - see undrilled bosses for outlets on the inboard side - but, you're not paying NOS or concours prices, either.
Fitted on well, good value for the money.
Worked perfectly for my disk brake conversion and has been enduring daily use ever since with no issues. looks and fits properly with no issues
Simple install, eveything worked as it should. Good replacement unit
An exact replacement for my original. A valuable footnote in the product description about the spacer requirement between the Midland vs Bendix vacuum booster.
Installed the new 15289 master cylinder on my 69 Cougar. The unit is slightly longer than the Bendix unit I replaced so it caused clearance problems between brake booster and shock tower. This unit measures 71/2 inches from mounting flange to end of the unit. I understand this is not a common problem but to be on the safe side I recommend measuring your old unit and the amount of space you actually have. Other than the clearance issue, the unit works fine.

Sure I could have got one from the kid at the local parts store and maybe even cheaper.
Didn't want to waste my time so I got one from WCCC because I knew it would be the right one.
